This means creating an online portfolio that showcases your skills and experience — even if you don’t have many.

In fact, it can be quite straightforward.
In this article, I’ll guide you through the process of building a winning writing portfolio that is tailored to the Bboy/Bgirl niche.
The Aesthetic Budget-Friendly Portfolio Maker for Breakers
If you know me personally, you know I value getting the most bang for my buck. I’m not one to spend thousands on a brand name.
I would say I’m a smart spender, most of the time.
Fortunately, I found a budget-friendly portfolio maker that offers all the necessary options to showcase my work and more.
Journoportfolio is an excellent choice for beginners looking to create a writing portfolio. Here are some reasons why it stands out from other writing websites:

It may not be the best, but it is at least presentable when clients want to view my work. It’s better than nothing.
So, why is this the perfect portfolio maker for breakers?
Because it’s easy to use and most of us don’t know much about professionalism.
As a B-boy, I always thought of myself as “underground” and not needing to conform to the world of professionalism in our street culture. All I wanted to do was rep in the cyphers and burn people, maybe with a middle finger or two thrown in.
I still feel that way, but maybe without the middle fingers this time around.
But when I started working for Dyzee as a copywriter at his Breakin’ sneaker company, Dyzee Threadz, he showed me the importance of having a “Professional Breakers Mindset.” With Breaking heading to the big leagues, especially with our dance debuting in the upcoming Paris Olympics 2024, we need to step up our professional game too.
Throughout my time interviewing and talking to clients, from world-class breakers to your daily one-flare b-boy practice type dude, I believe that as a community, we should strive to look more professional.
So what exactly is the “Professional Breakers Mindset?” And how can we become more professional while still keeping the cultural aspects of our B-boy culture? There are several ways we can accomplish this, but I’ll save that for another article.
Good luck with creating your writing portfolio! I hope to see more portfolios from writers in our Breaking niche, as there are still many untold stories and perspectives waiting to be shared with the world.
Keep writing and sharing your voice with the world!
